Every trade show we attend is unique in it’s own way and we look forward to each and every one of them. The Green Industry & Equipment Exposition (GIE+EXPO) in Louisville, co-located with Hardscape North America, is quickly approaching on October 22-24. For us, this is a great chance to interact with our customers in a different environment than other trade shows. GIE, which will be held at the Kentucky Expo Center, has a 19-acre outdoor demo area that professionals in the landscape, gardening, outdoor leisure, hardscape and light construction industries can come see the latest and greatest in technologies for the green industry and will have the chance to operate a few Takeuchi machines.

An Entertaining Show

It seems like every GIE+EXPO comes and goes so quickly with so much action going on. Louisville has an excellent venue for holding this tradeshow each year. As usual Takeuchi will be in two booths, with one indoors and the other outdoors in the demo area. It is a great show for us and always seems to be for attendees as well. We have a lot of great interaction with our dealers and customers and always feel like we come away from the show with great feedback.
This year, we will feature the following machines indoors: the TB230 compact excavator, which was recently introduced this past June, the TL10 track loader, and TS60R skid steer. Outdoors, customers are welcome to demo our TB240, also new in June, and TB216 compact excavator, the TL8 track loader, and TS70V skid steer. The newest machine in our lineup, the TW65 SERIES 2 wheel loader, will be on static display outside.

It’s not just the demo area that makes it a unique expo, but they always have great entertainment outside of the tradeshow hours. The headliner this year is famous country band Montgomery Gentry who will play the first night in downtown Louisville at 4th Street Live. There are different concerts each night of the show, and all are free of charge.
While it is out of our control, the weather is always unpredictable for GIE. We have had years of rain, sleet and cold weather. So, if your headed to Louisville this year, make sure to pack a coat and some boots – it can get quite muddy out there in the demo area.
All in all, GIE is a great way to end the busy 2014 trade show season. If you’re in Louisville for the show, make sure to come check us out indoors at booth No. 7196 and in the demo area in booth No. 7740D. We hope to see you there.

New Products

2014 has been a big year at Takeuchi for new equipment launches and we have received a lot of great response from each of the products we’ve released. Most recently in August, we launched the TW65 SERIES 2 and TW80 SERIES 2 wheel loaders to the marketplace. The wheel loaders are equipped with EPA Final Tier 4 engines, and are great not only from a performance standpoint, but also feature much-improved operator comfort and serviceability.

The compact design of the two wheel loaders will be great for the lawn and landscape industry, which allows them to easily maneuver in tight spaces with minimal damage to lawns, pavement, and any other sensitive surface areas. As I previously mentioned, we will have the TW65 SERIES 2 at GIE+EXPO as an outside static machine. It will be the product’s first introduction to the lawn and landscape industry.
As always, thank you for your loyal support of Takeuchi, without you, our customers and dealers, we wouldn’t be where we are today and we appreciate each and every one of you. If you’re in Louisville in mid-October, make sure to come by and try out some of our machines at GIE. We look forward to seeing you out there.
