Las Vegas is a city built on bold bets, bright lights and the idea that anything can happen. Every year, over 40 million people pass through its streets, drawn by the energy of the Strip, the desert heat and the promise of something bigger. But for five days in March, Las Vegas wasn’t about cards or casinos for us—it was about iron, innovation and CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2026. This event brought more than 140,000 construction professionals to the desert—and we showed up in a way we never have before.
Building Something Big in the Desert
Before the crowds, before the lights, before the first handshake—there’s the work. We worked hard inside the Las Vegas Convention Center’s West Hall, turning an empty space into the largest Takeuchi booth we’ve ever had in the US. Seven tractor trailer loads made the journey from Pendergrass, Georgia to Las Vegas, carrying 19 machines, booth structures, signage and everything in between.
Behind the scenes, it’s a constant rhythm—coordinating with truck drivers, working with union crews, electricians, riggers, forklift operators and dock teams—all moving in sync to bring the space to life. There were some really long days and very late nights. Problem-solving in real time. And more Uber rides than we could count.
A City That Never Slows Down
Las Vegas doesn’t do subtle. The sun is hot, the days are long, and the energy never lets up. We saw that firsthand. Our Takeuchi ads lit up the side of the Resorts World Hotel’s 300-ft tall LED video wall for all of Vegas to see, including one message that fit Vegas perfectly: “Put It All on Red,” which was a nod to Takeuchi machines. A nod to the moment. And we may have actually placed a bet on a roulette table, putting it all on red. Let’s just say… the brand message held up!
Showtime: Non-Stop from Day One
Once the doors opened, it didn’t slow down. Our booth stayed packed throughout the week. From morning to close, we had a steady flow of customers, dealers and new faces coming by. What drew them in?
- 19 machines on display, representing our full lineup of compact equipment
- 2 concept machines driving real conversations about the future
- The original 1986 compact track loader, the machine that launched a category
- Takeuchi Live stage presentations three times a day
Those daily live sessions at 10am, 1pm and 3pm became a magnet. The first 50 attendees received Takeuchi gear—but what really mattered is that it gave us a chance to connect. People who may have initially come by for a freebie ended up sticking around and having real conversations with us about Takeuchi equipment and how it can help them do their work better, faster and more easily.
What We Heard from You
Beyond the energy, the chats we had with contractors mattered most. Some of the most popular topics were around the new TB3150R excavator and our TL6R E85 powered concept machine.
The all new TB3150R excavator stood out immediately. Customers noticed the refinements to the cab—comfort, visibility, operator experience. The feedback was clear: they trust the performance, and they value thoughtful improvements that make their days better. This machine will be released to the global market on April 1 and then in the U.S. and Canada later this year.
The TL6R E85 concept machine sparked some very interesting discussions. At first, there was hesitation—questions about gas vs. diesel performance. But once we walked through the horsepower, torque and the opportunity to eliminate emissions systems like DPFs, the tone shifted. Simpler machines. Lower maintenance. Reduced downtime. That’s real value.
More Than a Trade Show
Some of our team members were in Las Vegas and away from their families for 15 days. It’s a massive effort to bring something like this together. It takes a team of people working long hours, solving problems and showing up every day ready to deliver—and our team is second to none. From our support teams in Pendergrass, GA and Moore, SC and our sales guys throughout North America, to our home office staff from Japan who made the long trip, the Takeuchi family pulls together and gets things done.
And when it all comes together—when the booth is full and the conversations are real —you realize it’s more than a trade show. It’s momentum. From the first truck arriving to the final load-out, CONEXPO 2026 was a reminder of what Takeuchi is all about: building machines that not only move the earth, but also move people forward
