Takeuchi-US Welcomes Four New Dealers

Takeuchi is looking forward to working with four new dealers.

Clairemont Equipment: The Zagami family established Clairemont Equipment in 1970 and now has six branches across Southern California. The company features small and medium sized equipment in its lineup geared towards the construction market.

“Clairemont Equipment is a great, hard-working family-owned business with success spanning nearly 50 years,” says Todd Granger, director of dealer sales at Takeuchi-US. “We are excited to be affiliated with such a strong partner and we are looking forward to working with Clairemont in Southern California.”

Boyd Equipment: Established in 2011 out of Maugerville, New Brunswick, Canada, the dealer serves 10 counties in New Brunswick. The full-service dealer is a family owned and operated business specializing in heavy equipment sales.

“In a short period of time, Boyd Equipment has become very successful with tremendous customer support for both their dealership and the products they sell,” says Kim Robinson, director of dealer development at Takeuchi-US. “We believe they will do a great job of making the Takeuchi brand presence known, which we haven’t had yet in the New Brunswick area.”

McClung-Logan: This full-service dealer has been around since 1939 with headquarters in Baltimore, Maryland. They are a leader in the construction equipment industry throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. McClung-Logan has eight stores, including six throughout Virginia and one location in Delaware.

“There is a reason McClung-Logan has been around for nearly 80 years and successfully grown their business — they always put the customer first and have a diverse and well-stocked fleet of construction equipment,” says Robinson. “They have a rock solid reputation on the east coast and we have no doubt they will be a great dealer for our machines.”

Power Equipment: This dealership was created in 1936 and now has eight branch locations across the Rocky Mountain region spanning Colorado, New Mexico, Wyoming and Utah.

“Power Equipment is a very reputable dealer with a great stronghold on the market in each respective location,” says Granger. “Takeuchi equipment will be a great addition to its lineup, and we look forward to our partnership.”

Takeuchi-US Welcomes Four New Hires

Takeuchi is also pleased to welcome four new colleagues to our growing team.

Todd Granger is the new director of dealer sales and will be responsible for all sales activity through the company’s North American dealer sales channel. Todd brings over 10 years of rental and construction industry experience to this position, including prior employment with Takeuchi as a regional business manager.

“I am excited to be back at Takeuchi among many colleagues I have known and have great respect for,” Todd says. “As demonstrated by the company’s growth over the last few years, Takeuchi is thriving, and I am looking forward to being a part of this growth and working with a strong dealer network.”

The move comes after former director of dealer sales, Kim Robinson, was appointed to a newly created position at Takeuchi as director of dealer development.

Shane Sirmons is the new south region manager and will be responsible for all the sales development and activity within Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama and Mississippi. With over 18 years of construction and rental industry experience, Shane has worked for manufacturers and rental houses throughout his career.

“I am proud to be representing a product line as well respected as Takeuchi is here in the U.S. and I look forward to contributing and working here,” Shane says. “The team has an extensive amount of experience and I will gain a great deal of knowledge working with these industry leaders.”

Jeff Stewart is the vice president and general manager, a newly created role. He will oversee parts, service, IT, facilities and non-machine related warehouse operations. Jeff comes back to Takeuchi after spending seven years at Alimak Hek Group in Webster, Texas. He was previously employed for 13 years in various roles with Takeuchi.

“Takeuchi is doing so well and I am excited to be part of a team that is growing,” Jeff says. “Having been part of the team in the past, I understand the culture, the people and customers. My career and experiences should help me be successful in my new position. This includes my previous position with Alimak, which helped me gain perspective on the dealers and end-users, while my time in the Marine Corps will help me lead those around me and do what is right for the company, dealers and customers. I am honored to be working with such a great team.”

Rick MacLeish is the national parts manager and will support the company sales efforts by establishing and maintaining business partnerships with dealers and distributors to provide parts support for Takeuchi products. With an extensive automotive background, Rick brings nearly 30 years of experience in wholesale, distribution and customer service to the position.

“I was fortunate enough to find Takeuchi in need of a national parts manager, a position closely related to my previous roles,” Rick says. “The industry is different in some ways, but similar in many. I think my automotive experience will suit the company and its dealers well as I feel I can add value. I am excited about the company and my role because of Takeuchi’s sincere dedication to its employees, dealers, customers and community. Their core values and beliefs are something I can be proud of.”
