Gearing Up for The Rental Show 2016

By December 19, 2016News

With a successful 2015 in the rearview mirror, the construction economy continues to improve – and that is certainly mirrored in our own company here at Takeuchi. The same can be said for the rental industry, which has seen steady growth and continues to feel positive. This is very reassuring, especially as we ramp up for the American Rental Association’s (ARA’s) annual convention, The Rental Show, which will be held in Atlanta this year – our hometown.

In February of each year, we look forward to our involvement with The Rental Show, which takes place February 21-24 at the Georgia World Congress Center. It is our premier show and a busy one for our sales staff. The show is crucial for us and we believe strongly in it, so much so that we like to pay it forward and will be a Silver sponsor this year. The rental industry is incredibly strong for Takeuchi and the show provides us with the opportunity to interact with our loyal customers and rental dealers, and add new customers – all in the span of only a couple days’ time.

This year we are excited to exhibit our newest products, the TB210R compact excavator that we introduced to the market in December and the TL12V2 track loader that we just introduced in late January. The TB210R possesses many new and exciting features that enhance performance, durability, and serviceability. That includes the excavator’s minimal tail-swing design, retractable undercarriage and blade, and a foldable ROPS/TOPS canopy that reduces the machine’s overall height. The machine can fit through doorways and in some of the most confined applications. The TL12V2 is our first vertical-lift loader arrangement and the largest vertical-track loader in the industry. The cab of the new track loader has been completely redesigned and enlarged for complete comfort. And other features provide better stability, visibility, reduced vibration, and increased lift height. Please make sure to stop by and see both products on display.

The equipment rental industry is stable as the ARA’s latest forecast calls for revenue growth in the United States of 6.7 percent in 2016 and 2017, 6.2 percent in 2018, and 5.8 percent in 2019 to reach $48.7 billion. Those are very solid numbers and we have certainly felt that excitement in the last few years during The Rental Show from customers and dealers alike. It is an exciting time to not only be in the industry, but to also play a role here at Takeuchi.

I have been working at Takeuchi for over 30 years now, so I have been to The Rental Show many times. It truly is a great show and a very busy one that flies by each time. It is hard to believe that The Rental Show 2016 is already here, but we are ready and we look forward to seeing you at the show. Make sure to put us on your itinerary while you are in Atlanta. We are at booth No. 3635.

From all of us at Takeuchi, thank you for your continued support and we wish you a prosperous 2016.

Sincerely,

Clay Eubanks
