Featured Product: TB225 Excavator

This summer we launched the TB225 excavator, joining our lineup of 11 other excavator models. The size of the model places it right between our TB216 and TB230. However, the TB225 comes standard with many features from both the smaller and larger machines.

This excavator is a very capable and versatile machine and is ideal for use in applications with limited access. Here’s a deeper dive into the all-new TB225.

TB225 Specs:

  • Operating weight: 4,993 pounds
  • Bucket breakout force: 4,339 pounds
  • Engine: 19.6 hp & 49.7 ft-lb of torque
  • Maximum Digging Depth: 8’ 6”
  • Maximum Reach: 14’ 4”

The operator’s station:

The operator’s station on the TB225 provides all day comfort with an adjustable suspension seat, large floor with integrated foot rests, ergonomically designed pilot controls, and adjustable arm rests. A Level I ROPS/TOPS/OPG four post canopy, 2” retractable seatbelt, and engine safe start/pilot lock out system provide peace of mind and help provide safety on the jobsite.

The front:

The TB225 has a heavy-duty swing boom with well-protected hoses and a cylinder guard for added protection and durability. Proportional auxiliary hydraulics are standard and are plumbed to mid-arm providing up to 9.96 gpm of flow.

The boom can swing left or right allowing the operator to dig offset, , making it ideal for confined applications, such as against walls or fences.

The rear:

The service hood flips up to allow you easy access to daily service points, filters and routine maintenance.

Undercarriage:

This machine can fit into tight spaces due to a hydraulically retractable undercarriage, which retracts from 59 inches wide down to 43.3 inches.

Triple flange track rollers are standard and maintain at least two points of contact, which makes it less susceptible to de-tracking.

Load sensing, step down travel motors automatically shift to high-torque mode when requiring more traction force and will automatically shift back into high-speed low-torque mode when the traction load decreases. Track tension is easily adjusted by removing the access plate on the undercarriage frame to access the tensioning cylinder.

Takeuchi Fleet Management (TFM):

Takeuchi Fleet Management (TFM) telematics system comes standard on the TB225 and free access is provided during the 2-year standard warranty period with additional service available to purchase. TFM provides an abundance of information, such as machine health and condition, run time (hours), and machine location. TFM reduces downtime and controls costs by providing remote diagnostics and scheduled maintenance as well as customizable alert settings. Another key feature of TFM is the ability to geofence your machine. This feature provides a significant sense of security when needing to protect your investment.
